I truly have to apologize for the lack of updates in the past 5 months. It has been a very busy year for us and the time just seemed to slip away before I realized it. Although I haven't heard from some of you in awhile either, I hope to hear from you soon. I certainly understand how busy life can get. For those of you who have kept in touch thank you so much for hanging in there with me. Your stories and updates, encouragement and prayers are so appreciated.
Well, I have a lot to share so I'll get right to it. First of all, our son Jon, and new daughter-in-law, Kerri, got married on June 7th. The wedding was beautiful and the weather perfect! It was a great day for family and friends to share in and I only cried when I danced with Jon. Of course it was a Jeff & Sheri Easter song so that made it even more special. We feel truly blessed to have a daughter in the family now and can't wait for the grand kids to arrive. But not yet! We'll give them a little time to enjoy being married. Some of the wedding pictures will be posted on the web PHOTO page as soon as we gather them all together. So check back often.
As most of you know we've been remodeling for some time now and had hoped to get the deck finished before the wedding. It was partially done when my Aunt and Uncle got here so we put him to work right away. Jack was grateful for the help and they got all but the railings and lattice work done. So we were able to set up our patio table and have a few meals out there before they left. Since then I've helped Jack put the lattice up. But with temps in the upper 90's & 100's we're slowing down. As soon as it's done we'll be having an open-house to share in the blessings of these additions and changes. So stay tuned for that!
During this busy-ness we decided to put off recording until family had gone home and we had sufficient time to rest. Looks like it paid off. I went into the recording studio this past Monday and recorded all twelve songs in five and a half hours! That's a record for me! But I really felt good about it going in and I was ready! My voice was strong the whole time and I know that was God! Also, Randy Jahn is a great person to work with! He is so easy going and has great ideas when I get stumped! So thanks Randy! You're the man! Now we just have to finalize the master, finish inserts, copy & print. Then it's ready for release. So be looking for that on the MUSIC page of my website soon.
Speaking of the website…..we will be making changes and adding some new pages over the next month or so to make the site more informative and conducive to on-line purchasing. We hope these changes will be helpful to pastors, women's ministries, special events directors, promoters and anyone interested in my music ministry. Please be in prayer that more doors will be opened as I continue to share the gospel through God's calling on my life.
Speaking of open doors…..I can now be heard on Gospel Ok-Heirwave radio which is administered out of Texas & Oklahoma. For those of you who don't have a local southern gospel radio station, this is an internet connection for hearing some great music. You'll hear a mixture of country gospel as well as southern gospel style music. Most of the music is from local singing groups all through out the states as well as your favorite professional groups that you'll recognize. So check it out at www.Gospelok.com and click on the listening link that works best for you. Right now it's just ME and Liberty listed for the state of Idaho. So tune in and let them know what you think of us!
On June 28th Jack and I celebrated our 31st Anniversary and we couldn't ask for a better year! God's been good to us and we can't wait to see what the next 31 years will bring! It's been a journey of love, faith, tears and joy and we wouldn't trade one minute! Many of you have been an inspiration to us and we are so glad that you're in our lives. Keep praying for us and stay in touch. That's how we are encouraged in this ministry. Until next month…….
Love & Blessings,
